The Art of Espresso® roasting house is located in Young in the same building at the rear of our cafe and barista training classroom. This provides us with the unique ability to provide onsite classes demonstrating the complete beginning to end coffee experience.
Art of Espresso® uses the environmentally friendly Diedrich Infrared Bed IR24 roaster with a custom designed computer. Each profile can be replicated to the degree, ensuring a consistent quality roasted coffee.
The destoner cleans the beans again once roasted, then they are bagged by hand maintaining a true artisan journey from plant to cup.
All our coffees are certified organic by the USDA and some coffees are also certified by Rainforest Alliance, Bird Friendly recognised, UTZ & HACCP. This also includes our organic chemical free Swiss Water Decaf.
We continue to establish direct farm relationships ensuring a more transparent fair trading from farm to cup.
The raw coffees are all maintained in a temperature consistent room and then moisture tested prior to roasting to maintain an optimum roasting profile thus achieving a consistent quality roast.
